HELLO!

My name is Maura Day and I am an artist and designer in the Nashville area. I am a proud graduate of the School of Art and Art History at the University of Iowa where I received my BFA in 3-Dimensional Design.  I spent the last ten years working with brands like Crate&Barrel, Minted and Jonathan Adler. While they were exciting and fulfilling, I felt a strong desire to take a more personal and hands on approach to my work. I needed to create just for myself again.

MDRNHAND was born from that with the goal of hand-making prints for the modern home. My latest works explore minimalism and symmetry by creating studies of shape and composition. I print each piece by hand and love that by doing so each one has its own unique quirks and creative imperfections.
